Nearly 100 Helmerich & Payne employees volunteered at this year’s Tulsa Area United Way Day of Caring on October 1. At the event, the company joined more than 80 Tulsa companies and organizations who completed 225 service projects at local non-profit agencies.

“This is an opportunity for H&P to pour back into the community that pours into us,” said Adam Smith, Senior Sales Development Specialist, who also served as co-chair for the event.

H&P’s volunteers assisted at five different locations: Global Gardens- Unity Learning Academy, Global Gardens- Asbury Corner, LIFE Senior Services, Tulsa Route 66 Village and The Salvation Army’s Mabee Boys and Girls Club.

At the different locations, employees helped with a variety of different activities such as outdoor cleanup and gardening, building outdoor structures, interior painting and cleaning apartments for senior citizens.

“We could not do what we do without organizations like H&P,” said Symon Hyjjar from Global Gardens.
