Recently, Todd Benson, Helmerich & Payne's Chief Innovation Officer, sat down with Stephen Whitfield, Associate Editor for Drilling Contractor Magazine to talk about the fuel efficiency improvements H&P is creating through our four power management options: dual fuel, high line power, engine management and hybrid rigs.
Over the past three years our efforts have led to an 11% reduction in CO2 emissions per km drilled, from 66.2 tonnes to 58.9 tonnes. This year we're aiming to reduce excess engine runtime by 10%.
