Last week, more than 30 H&P employees from across the globe gathered in Galveston, Texas to elevate H&P’s status as a thought leader in the energy industry. The IADC/SPE International Drilling Conference and Exhibition brings together likeminded individuals to discuss cutting-edge concepts and technologies transforming the drilling landscape, merging the perspectives of nearly 900 individuals, working for operators, contractors, technology companies and academia.
H&P's involvement in the conference has always been significant, but 2022 brought the largest initiative supported by multiple departments across the company. An exhibition booth provided a home base to highlight new technologies through an interactive touchscreen display and informal coffee break presentations. Among these was the new environment, social and governance (ESG) solution debut, Engine Management.
The official program was full of H&P contributions through conference advisory committee and paper selection committee involvement, a session co-chair position, seven technical paper presentations and the Tech Talk and Diversity and Inclusion reception sponsorships. H&P also hosted a customer reception the first evening to promote our extensive and longstanding commitment to the conference.
