H&P marked a significant milestone today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The ceremony opened up with Tulsa Mayor, G.T. Bynum welcoming the crowd to the historic event. He talked of the legacy of the Helmerich family in Tulsa and the far-reaching influence of H&P. President and CEO of H&P, John Lindsey, noted how meaningful the new building is to Tulsa and how the space will enhance H&P’s ability to serve its customers and employees. Mike Neal, Tulsa Regional Chamber’s president and CEO closed out the brief ceremony by applauding H&P’s rich history and commitment to Tulsa.
H&P leadership team joined Mayor Bynum and Mike Neal to cut the ribbon, ending the ceremony.
Attendees included members of H&P’s Board of Directors, Tulsa city and county representatives, area business and community leaders, several Tulsa employees as well as members of H&P’s FlexRig Support Department (FSD) and Rig Manager’s Council team.
In December 2022, H&P announced the move to the newly constructed 222 N. Detroit Ave. At that time, John Lindsay laid out two main goals: to provide employees with a more modern workspace that provide greater opportunity to collaborate and innovate and to reduce H&P's total footprint while providing a higher quality work environment.
The new building does all of that while also honoring the companies 100-year legacy and commitment to Tulsa.
H&P originally moved its headquarters to Tulsa in 1926 – during the height of the historic oil boom – and has been a member of the community since that time.
